If you've not had gardening success before, try this

Here is good advice from the blog Florida Survival Gardening:

"If you've not had gardening success before, I recommend starting with a few dead-simple crops: mulberries, yard-long beans, chaya, loquats, sweet potatoes, Seminole pumpkin (make sure you have LOTS of space), bush beans, kale and mustard. Throw in a few hot peppers for variety and maybe a Japanese persimmon and you're going to have success. Most of those will do well even if you're a total amateur." http://buff.ly/1MRT8eu
